Foot In the Door is a one-day event for people at entry and early career level in audio, to build skills development and open access to people and expertise, through training workshops and a facilitated speed-networking session.
Programme
The first speakers have now been announced! Check back over the coming two weeks as we share more speakers, industry guests and session topics. In the meantime, have a look at the timings for the day and some of our past speakers.
Our guests will share top tips and advice on production, presenting, brand, technology and more, across podcasting, radio and streaming. The guests are from all areas of the industry, from the BBC, commercial, independent and community audio sectors.

12:30 Welcome and In Conversation
Join The Radio Academy MD, Aradhna Tayal Leach, in conversation with Mary Mandefield, Presenter and Journalist, The News Movement, Persephonica and Hits Radio. We kick of the day looking at industry trends and insights.
13:15-14:00 - Choose between:

- Marketing & Socials: How to get the best out of your Podcast, your brand and you!
14:00-14:45 - Choose between:
- Getting the most from your speech based content
- Is Making Music Radio about the bits in between the tracks?

16:00 Speed-networking - ask everything you want to know from all of our industry guests in record time!
17:30 Social event with The Radio Academy North West Branch, with launch of The ReelWorld Radio Academy 30 Under 30 2024

The training workshops and speed networking session are ticketed and open to all, with a half price discount for Radio Academy Members. You must purchase a ticket if you wish to attend these sessions as a delegate. Your ticket also includes an invitation to join the social and launch event at the end of the day.
If you are not already a member, you can join here and benefit from the reduced rate for this and future events, as well as accessing our full resources hub online. If you would prefer to come along and check it out first, you can still benefit from a £5 discount on a year's membership if you choose to join after the event. And remember, it's worth checking to see if you are eligible for free membership, if you are part of one of our Patron Member Organisations.
Social Event
The social event in the evening is open to all Radio Academy Members to join. The event is free for Members but you must register - click on "Buy Tickets" and select the "Social Event only" ticket option to register at no cost. Come along on the day to catch-up with colleagues in your local audio network, and meet our industry guests and delegates from the day.
At the Social Event, we are delighted to launch this year's ReelWorld Radio Academy 30 Under 30! Hear from previous 30 Under 30 winners about being on the list, tips on how to apply, and insights on developing your career. The panel will be held during the social event, and all are welcome to attend. Please register for the Social Event to come along.
