Trustees

The Board of Trustees have overall legal responsibility for The Audio Academy and we seek to attract Trustees with a diverse range of skillsets to provide the Charity with a comprehensive knowledge base to serve our members’ best interests.

Seven of the Audio Academy Trustees are currently elected by the membership, each serving a three year term. The elected trustees can then co-opt up to six additional trustees for a year at a time, to ensure the board is representative of the wider industry and has the necessary skills and experiences to run the charity. The elected trustees are also responsible for the appointment of the Chair and Deputy Chair.

2026 sees the addition of Dave Bethell, Kellie Redmond and Nina Robinson as elected trustees.

2026 saw the end of Helen Thomas' tenure as Chair of the Academy, and we're delighted that Nick Pitts has now taken over that role, with Philippa Aylott taking over the role of Deputy Chair.  Thanks to Helen for her visionary leadership and energetic support of the Academy for the past five years.
