Alistair Mackenzie

Alistair Mackenzie is currently head of finance at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. He has thirty years experience in the broadcast industry. Although a finance professional, Alistair has been involved in many of the most pioneering moments of change in the radio industry. From the launch of the second wave of commercial stations in the 1990’s through national commercial radio, regional radio and DAB.

Alistair was at Jazz FM for most of his career in both its first incarnation and was a founder of Jazz FM in its second incarnation. Alistair’s passion for radio meant that he was also involved in local radio as the Finance and Operations director at the Local Radio Company and later was interim head of Finance for Celador Radio before it’s acquisition.

Alistair has worked for many years on initiatives to grow the radio industry serving on committees for what is now the Radiocentre and collaborations with other commercial companies, the BBC and independent production companies.
