Helen Thomas

Tim was a true gentleman. I first met him properly at a Radio Festival dinner in Salford many years ago and I spent the entire evening eagerly soaking up the legendary tales of his time at BBC R1 and much more besides. He was always so wise and generous with his time and advice, and I’m delighted we were able to honour his immense contribution to the radio and audio industry at the ARIAS earlier this year, so he was able to see first-hand the genuine affection and warm regard he was held in by every single person in the room.
